A selection of knowledge sessions is scheduled to take place on the Vision Stage
On Tuesday, June 10th, from 13:45 to 14:30, a podcast titled "NEXT level in Hortitech: Mechatronics and Optomechatronics" will be presented by Impact T&U. The following day, Wednesday, June 11th, from 12:00 to 13:00, the HortiHealth Stage will feature a session called "Growing Health & Happiness." This session will be led by Ed Smit from EatThis, Jort van Mil from Tomatoworld, Wendy Scholtes-Bos representing World Horti Health, the Food Boost Challenge, and Medical Delta, along with Natasja van der Lely from De Nieuwe Lunch Cultuur and Greenport West-Holland. Later that day, from 14:00 to 14:45, there will be another podcast by Impact T&U, titled "NEXT level in Hortitech: Artificial Intelligence & Datascience."
Data/Tech Stage
The Data/Tech Stage will host a series of intriguing sessions during the event. On Tuesday, June 10th, from 13:00 to 13:45, a presentation titled "Innovations in crop intelligence: From the roots to crop yields" will be conducted by Erik Pekkeries, Aneesh Chauhan, Dan Rustia, and Franck Golbach, all affiliated with Wageningen University & Research, along with Hsin-Cheng Chen from Taiwan HiPoint. The following session, taking place on Wednesday, June 11th, from 13:45 to 14:30, is "Remote Precision Growing," featuring speakers Paolo de Heer from TNO, Adam Greenberg from IUNI, Niels van der Geest from Delphy, and moderated by Klaas van Egmond from Delphy. On Thursday, June 12th, from 12:45 to 13:15, Rodolfo Groenewoud - van Vliet from In4Art will present "AI species expeditions – how AI is developing and offering opportunities for horticulture."
Crops/VF Stage
The Crops/VF Stage will feature a session on Tuesday, June 10th, from 15:45 to 16:30, titled "Hands-free harvest: How automation is cultivating the future." This engaging discussion will include contributions from Renko Schuil of TTA-ISO, William Pelton of Phytoform, Goncalo Cabrita of Periplo Innovation, and Laura van de Kreeke from Growy. The session will be moderated by Jasper den Besten from Den Besten Advies, focusing on the innovative ways automation is shaping the future of agriculture.
Deep Dive Stage
On Thursday, June 12th, the Deep Dive Stage will feature a session from 14:15 to 14:45 titled "The council of foods – exploring vertical farming perspectives through AI." This session will bring together experts, including Lija Groenewoud – van Vliet from In4Art, Monika Löve of Carlo Ratti Associati, Rodolfo Groenewoud - van Vliet also from In4Art, Filips Staņislavskis of Nonhuman Nonsense, and Gert Jan van Staalduinen from Logiqs. The discussion will delve into the application of AI in transforming vertical farming perspectives.
